Tracking your treatments in Folia helps you stay on top of medications and health routines in one place. Whether you take something daily, on a schedule, or only as needed, your Treatments log in your Journal keeps everything organized and easy to track.
In this guide, we'll go over:
How to add a treatment
To add a new treatment:
In your Journal tab, tap the "+ Add" button on the top right of the Treatments section, or the "+ Add a treatment" button at the bottom
Tap to select the treatment you'd like to track, or tap "Search" to find another treatment or add a custom treatment.
All treatments you add will default to a "completed" state, meaning you've taken the medication or done the treatment action. However, you can also tap on the checkbox to note that you skipped the treatment.
If this is a recurring treatment, we'll walk you through how to set up a Treatment Schedule so it appears in your Journal when you need to complete it.
How can I track my treatments?
Your scheduled treatments for the day will appear in the Treatments section of your Journal.
To track:
Tapping once will indicate treatment was completed (checkmark)
Tapping twice will indicate treatment was skipped (x). For any skipped treatments, you can also add in a "Reason for skipping" tag(s)
Tapping three times will reset it to an untracked state (empty box)
You can track treatments individually (as shown above), or you can mark all treatments as "completed" or "skipped" with the "All Treatments" card at the top of the Treatments section. If you have Treatment Groups, you can also mark that group as all "completed" or "skipped."
Setting up a treatment schedule
For recurring treatments, a Treatment Schedule ensures they automatically appear in your Journal at the right times, so you never have to add them manually.
For treatments that are not yet in your Journal, you can get to the Treatment Schedule set up page in two ways from your Journal Treatments:
Option 1: With the "+Add" button
Tap "+Add"
Tap "Search"
Option 2: With the Settings (gear) icon
Tap the Settings (gear) icon
Tap "+Add New" in the top left
Both of these will bring you to the same place. From here:
Find the treatment you'd like to add
Tap on "Schedule"
From here, you can select or set the appropriate schedule. You can quickly schedule the treatment in the "Quick" tab, or toggle to the "Routines" tab to add it to an existing routine or create a new routine.
Tracking "As Needed/PRN" treatments
What is an "As Needed/PRN" treatment and when should I use it?
These are treatments that you take once in a while or on an ad hoc basis. Saving these to your list of "As Needed/PRN" treatments will make it easier to track them in the future when you need to.
You can save any treatment to your "As Needed/PRN" list by following the steps above related to treatment scheduling.
To track an "As Needed/PRN" treatment, simply:
Tap "+Add" in your Journal Treatments section
Choose your "As Needed/PRN" treatment and "Save"
How to remove a treatment from my Journal
Any treatment that is in an untracked state (no checkmark or x) will not appear in any tracked data or insights. For example, you accidentally added "Fish Oil" and cannot remove the treatment card from your Journal. So long as its in the empty state (not checked or with an x", it will not reflect anywhere.
If you have a scheduled treatment and would like to set an end date or remove it from your Daily Journal moving forward, you can do so with the following steps:
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in your "Treatments" section
To remove the treatment from your Journal immediately, tap on the red track can icon in the top right
3. Confirm you'd like to delete the treatment by tapping "Delete" and tap "Done"
*Please note that any treatment you delete will be removed from your Journal from the next day onward.
You can also remove a treatment from your Journal by setting a treatment end date. This date can be set in the future so you don't have to think about removing it at a later date.
To set a treatment end date:
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in your "Treatments" section
Tap "Edit" on the treatment you'd like to set the end date for
3. Select the end date and tap "Done"
4. Tap "Save" on the bottom of the screen
