What is a key event and why should I add one?
A key event is a moment in your health journey that you want to document, but it doesn't easily fit into your list of Observations. Key events are anything that you find important, and they can include appointments, hospital stays, changes in treatment, or life events.
You can view your key events alongside your symptoms and treatments so your Journal tells a fuller story.
Currently, you can add the following types of key events, but we'd love to hear from you if there's an event type you'd like to add that's not listed below:
Appointment
ER Visit
Treatment Change
Illness
Hospitalization
Infusion
Life Event
Other
How do I add a key event?
From your Journal tab, scroll down to the Key Events section (right after your Observations).
Tap to add a new event.
Choose the type of event that fits best.
Pick your date or date range, add any times, notes, or photos, and save.
View and filter your events
Key events will be denoted with a flag icon on your Journal calendar, so you can see them at a glance and see what else you tracked around them.
In your Calendar Filters, you can also filter your calendar to show just your key events, and then narrow it down to a specific type.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What if my key event spans multiple days?
You can add a key event for a single day (like a doctor's appointment) or have it span multiple days (like illness or capturing travel that may disrupt your day to day health). You can also add a start and end time, if you'd like - totally up to you!
If your event spans several days, you'll see it reflected on every day it covers in your Journal.
Can I add an event before it happens?
Yes! You can schedule an event in the future, and when you go to that date in your Journal, you'll see you have an event that day.
Can I change the date of an existing event?
Yes! Simply tap into the event to adjust any details you need to.
Why would I track an infusion as a key event instead of a treatment?
You can track your infusion as either, but the key event feature will give you more flexibility if you're not always sure when your next infusion will be. This will allow you to schedule it like an appointment and easily change the date if you need to reschedule.
